André Istad Johansen is partner at law firm Selmer in Oslo, Norway. Selmer is a full service law firm specialising in all key areas of business law. André Istad Johansen has long and extensive experience in all areas of employment law with a special interest in complex reorganisations, downsizing and transactions. He also has built up considerable expertise within pension law. André is ranked among Norway's leading experts within employment law and pensions by the international rating agencies Chambers, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal.

He is also an external examiner within employment law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo, as well as frequent podcaster of current legal topics. He is a member of EELA and the Norwegian correspondent for the publication EELC. He is also a member of the Norwegian Bar Association.
